Crash every time
Hi team,
First off, I like Socialite a lot, I mean it crashes on me every time now on OS X Lion, but I still use it. It slows up as well and I follow all your guides and start off again and still like the software. I bought two copies for both my machines.
My problem is that Socialite crashes each and every time. I clear/clean out everything related to Socialite, in all the MAC OS X places and 're-install' the app in the Applications folder.
Yet after doing this, it still doesn't like my machine. I can send you crash logs etc, however I need to know what is causing this.
thanks,
Johann Smith

Hello, Johann.
I'm sorry you're seeing this issue.
You're not the only one having these on-launch crashes with Socialite on 10.7.2. The crashes are inside Apple's own code and I'm afraid it's mostly related to a bug somewhere in their code. It's possible that there's less problem in 10.7.3 but we'll have to see on a large scale when Apple will finally release it.
By the way, you say that you have it on every launch but at the same time you say that you continue to use Socialite. So, how often does it happen?
Jacob.

I cannot open socialite since I updated the system to 10.7.3 :-( It just crashes with no option to send a report.

Hi Robert,
Are there any messages about Socialite in Console.app?
Kind Regards,
Sandy

Right, this is the message.

I moved the Socialite.sqlite file to the desktop along with a Socialite.sqlite-journal I foudn there. Then Socialite opened normaly without all my accounts, of course. Then I moved the Socialite.sqlite file overwritting the one Socialite created. Opened Socielite with no problem. Then moved back the Socialite.sqlite-journal. Then it crashed BUT Socialite deleted that file. Then opened again with no problem. Now it's working.
One thing: my system language is catalan now, but I used to use the English before. Could it be these change which didn't like Socialite?
Thanks.

Hello, Robert.
No, I don't believe it's the language setting that caused these errors.
If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Jacob.
